A journalist residing in Sundarraj Nagar of the city is catching the attention of many a local resident, particularly schoolchildren on their summer break, as he last week opened his house porch to the public to promote the joy of reading through the book collection on offer at the ‘thinnai library’ that he has set up.
The initiative by journalist Syed Muthahar Saqaf and supported by the Sundarraj Nagar Highways Colony Residents’ Welfare Association operates on a simple model: anyone can pick a book, record their name in the register and return the book after reading.
