The Tamil Nadu farmers' association submitted a memorandum to the prime minister and the chief minister through the Thanjavur collector on Monday, seeking an extension of the PM-Kisan scheme to tenant farmers.
In the memorandum, the farmers wanted financial assistance to be given to all cultivators and for the amount to be increased to ₹12,000 per year from the current annual sum of ₹6,000. They also pointed out that the Unique Land Parcel Identification Number (ULPIN) is being provided
