ST Panel Urged to Halt Closure of Polytechnic

TRIBALS in Alluri Sitarama Raju district have appealed to the Andhra Pradesh State Scheduled Tribes Commission to stop the proposed closure of the Polytechnic of Organic Farming, which has been serving students from tribal and rural communities since its inception in 2011.
During a recent meeting, the locals submitted a formal request to AP ST Commission Chairman Dr DVG Shankar Rao, urging him to take necessary steps to keep the college operational. They informed him that instructions regarding the closure have already been issued to the college management
