In a statement, the aviation regulator said, the aircraft took off at 1:38 pm and crashed five minutes after take-off into Megani Nagar, a residential area. The Pilot in Command Sumit Sabharwal and co-pilot Clive Kunder were in the cockpit.
Smoke was evident from afar and the airport emergency team was activated, the statement added. The Director General of Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) has left for Ahmedabad, the DGCA added.
