MP Prabha Bats For Setting Up Of Data Centres In Davanagere

WITH an intention of maximizing the strategic position of Davanagere city in Karnataka, Member of Parliament, Dr Prabha Mallikarjun on Saturday held a crucial meeting with Software Technology Park of India (STPI) officials in the city. She discussed the establishment of Healthcare Centres of Excellence in medical colleges and hospitals and the establishment of AI Centres of Excellence in engineering colleges.
During the meeting, she also brought to their notice the need for setting up data centres in Davanagere city as it has a huge pool of human resources. Stating that Davanagere should become the next IT hub of Karnataka, Dr Prabha said that as a step towards this dream, a programme called "Vision Davangere," will be prepared and implemented in a time-bound manner.
