Women Devotees Pull Devi Subhadra's Rath

A large number of devotees gathered at the Jagannath temple in Ganjam's Gosaninuagaon to take part in the Rath Yatra festival where the chariot of Devi Subhadra was pulled exclusively by women on Friday.
Gosaninuagaon is the second place in Odisha after Baripada to observe such a gender-specific tradition during the chariot festival. "The enthusiasm among women to participate in the Rath Yatra here has been increasing every year since the tradition began in 2000
