INDIAN race walkers disappointed in the 35km events with Sandeep Kumar and Priyanka Goswami finishing 23rd and 24th in the men's and women's sections, respectively, on the opening day of the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo on Saturday.
With the Athletics Federation of India expecting its athletes to match their personal bests, none of the walkers managed to come close to it in their finals.
