Places of Worship Act: CJI-led SC bench will hear pleas on Feb 17

The Supreme Court will hear a batch of petitions related to the Places of Worship (Special Provisions) Act, 1991, on February 17.
Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna heads the bench that comprises Justices Sanjay Kumar and K V Viswanathan.
On the same day, the court will hear the Congress’ intervention application seeking a direction to be an intervenor in the pleas challenging the provisions of the Act.
