DGP Directs Intensified Surveillance for Possible Sleeper Cells in State

As security is being beefed up across the state, DGP YB Khurania on Friday asked the police to intensify surveillance for the presence of any terrorist sleeper cell in Odisha, and if it was being activated.
The specific direction came after the authorities in Jammu and Kashmir suspect that sleeper cells possibly gave information on the security situation in Pahalgam where 26 people, mostly tourists, were shot dead by the terrorists on April 22.
