THE office of Governor RN Ravi on Friday has alleged that the statement issued by Higher Education Minister Govi Chezhiaan on Thursday was misleading and a 'distortion of facts'.
The minister's statement was in response to the Raj Bhavan blaming the state government for "purposefully excluding" the nominee of UGC chairperson from the search committees constituted for identifying vice-chancellors of a few universities, in violation of regulations.
