IN a dramatic end to a series of six chain snatching incidents that happened in Chennai within a span of 1 hour and 10 minutes on Tuesday morning, two suspects were arrested by the police at the Chennai airport when they tried to flee by taking two separate flights.
One of the suspects was arrested when he was waiting to board the flight, while the other was nabbed from inside the plane. They were heading to Hyderabad and Mumbai, police sources said. Based on the information the duo shared, another accomplice, who had boarded a train to escape, was arrested from Ongole in Andhra Pradesh.
