AIADMK general secretary and former Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday launched his sixth day Makkalai Kaappom, Thamizhagathai Meetpom (Protect the People, Retrieve Tamil Nadu) campaign tour in Vadalur. He was received by alliance party functionaries from the AIADMK and BJP upon arrival from Neyveli.

Addressing the gathering near the four-road junction in Vadalur, Palaniswami criticised the ruling DMK and accused Chief Minister MK Stalin of avoiding direct interaction with the public.
