BENGALURU-headquartered KASFAB Tools Pvt Ltd on Monday launched India's first manufacturing facility dedicated to building semiconductor equipment for global customers.
BENGALURU-headquartered KASFAB Tools Pvt Ltd on Monday launched India's first manufacturing facility dedicated to building semiconductor equipment for global customers. With an initial investment of Rs 20 crore, the 20,000-sq ft state-of-the-art greenfield space in Doddaballapur will cater to demand from global semiconductor chip (tier-I) equipment suppliers, providing them with a host of deposition, or curing tools for the semiconductor process. Accordingly, KASFAB Tools -- a KAS group company under UHP Technologies & KASTECH Equipment -- has already signed its first customer, a US-based firm, for whom it is contracted to ship 53 equipment within a year.
