Report reveals conversation between pilots, with one of them expressing shock over fuel supply to engines being cut off
AVIATION safety consultant and former Boeing aircraft trainer Captain Mohan Ranganathan said the preliminary findings of the inquiry into the June 12 Air India Dreamliner crash affirms that the accident was a case of "deliberate human intervention."
The preliminary probe report by the Aircraft Accidents Investigation Bureau (AAIB), an independent investigative unit constituted by the civil aviation ministry, revealed a conversation between the cockpit crew, with one of them expressing shock over fuel supply to the engines being cut off and questioning the other about it.
The report, made public on Saturday, states, "In the cockpit voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why did he cut off. The other pilot responded that he did not do so."

How Distance Reveals What Proximity Conceals
Last week, I interviewed Tuva Atasever, a Turkish astronaut, as part of my PhD research at Oxford. While Atasever detailed the rigorous selection and training, his tone shifted when he recalled crossing the Kármán line. He spoke with fond nostalgia about floating in microgravity, describing it as a meditative and spiritually exhilarating experience.
