Siddaramaiah lauds Sri Rajendra Swamiji for spreading Basava philosophy, humanity
CHIEF Minister Siddaramaiah stressed the need for quality, scientific and rational education to end slave mindset which is prevalent because of the caste system.
Inaugurating the 109th birth anniversary event of Sri Rajendra Swamiji organised by the Suttur mutt in Kollegal here on Saturday, Siddaramaiah said the scientific approach and education will end psychological slavery in people and bring them to mainstream.
"Everyone should work to bring changes in the society and Rajendra Swamiji had spread the message of humanism, worked for education of the rural children and started hostels which contributed for the growth of the JSS institutions. Rajendra Swamiji was an ambassador of Basava philosophy both in India and abroad. The Suttur mutt worked to spread humanity with an appeal to end hatred based on caste, religion and language," he said.
