Easy access to obscene content spiking crimes against women: Judge

SENIOR Civil Judge and JMFC of T Narasipura Hanumantha GH expressed concern over the increasing crimes against women, particularly by minors, attributing the trend to young people's easy access to obscene content through internet and smartphones.
Speaking at the valedictory of curricular and extracurricular activities for the academic year 2024-25 at Vidyavardhaka Law College here on Saturday, Judge Hanumantha said the proliferation of smartphones and unfiltered online content are influencing youth's behaviour and contributing to a surge in criminal activities.
