Protest held to seek early completion of long-pending Ambedkar Bhavan in Mysuru
ACTIVISTS of the Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi (DSS) staged a protest against the delay in the completion of the Dr BR Ambedkar Bhavan in Mysuru city and raised slogans against the state government.
There was tense movement when the activists gheraoed Deputy Commissioner G Lakshmikantha Reddy and demanded him to complete the pending works.
Led by DSS district convener Bettaiah Kote, the activists gathered near the statue of Dr BR Ambedkar in front of Town Hall on Friday and raised slogans against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Social Welfare Minister H C Mahadevappa when the district administration authorities led by the DC, city police commissioner Seema Latkar and ZP CEO K M Gayatri and Buddhist Monk Kalyanasri Bantheji were garlanding the Ambedkar statue to observe Mahaparinirvana Diwas to commemorate the death anniversary of Dr Ambedkar.
