DEFENDING Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar over his recent remarks, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) spokesperson M Lakshman alleged that the BJP is deliberately misinterpreting his statement for political mileage.
Addressing media persons here on Tuesday, Lakshman criticised the BJP for twisting Shivakumar's words and taking to the streets in protest.
Slamming the BJP for its misinformation campaign, he stated, "No one can alter the original Constitution. The power to provide reservations rests solely with the Central government. The BJP leaders, lacking even basic knowledge about this, are engaging in false propaganda."
