City to Host Two-Day Leafy Vegetable Mela in City From Saturday

To revive the diversity of greens and make them popular again, Sahaja Samrudha, Hulikadu Farmers Producer Company, and ICAR-JSS Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Suttur, are jointly organising a Leafy Greens Fair at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry on Saturday and Sunday.
Over 150 varieties of vegetables will be on display, and for sale during the two-day fair. Varieties like Annesoppu, Seegesoppu, Berekesoppu, and Honagonnesoppu, which naturally grow in our surroundings, have been neglected by today's generation as weeds.
Farmers from Kaadu Halli, HD Kote will bring 25 varieties of greens. The women's group from Kolagondanahalli, Kanakapura, will offer special Seegesoppu for sale along with the chance to taste Kalale Saaru meals.
