Youth power vital for developed India: PM

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that the power of youth will drive the economy and make India a developed nation by 2047.
"As we are entering a 25-year golden period, India will remain the world's youngest country in the coming decades. The increase in India's GDP will be driven by the power of youth. I am confident that the Yuva Shakti (power of youth) will translate the dream of a Viksit-Bharat," Modi said, addressing the 'Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue' here.
Lauding the creativity and out-of-the-box thinking of the youth, he said, "The youth of India are not thinking only sitting in closed AC rooms. The range of thinking of the youth of Bharat goes beyond the sky limit."
Describing himself as a 'param-mitra' of the youth, Modi said the relationship is based on trust.
"India will certainly be a Viksit-Rashtra, where the economy will boom and ecology will bloom. Where there will be plenty of opportunities to earn and learn, where there will be the biggest skilled manpower in the world," he said. "No power can stop India from becoming a developed country if the spirit of 'Viksit Bharat' guides its every step, policy and decision," he added.
