Navodaya Self-Help Groups hold silver jubilee celebrations

Says through revolution in co-operative sector, he ensured social & economic growth, especially among rural women

GOVERNOR Thawar Chand Gehlot praised Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, the founder of the Navodaya Grama Vikas Charitable Trust and chairman of SDCC Bank, for his efforts in creating positive changes in society.

He highlighted how Dr Kumar has empowered women and helped them lead dignified lives through Navodaya Self-Help Groups. Governor Gehlot participated in the 'Rajatha Sambhrama 2025' of Navodaya Self-Help Groups at Bangrakulur in Mangaluru, and released the logo for the 25th anniversary of Navodaya Self-Help Groups.

In his address, the Governor said, "Dr M N Rajendra Kumar has announced Rs 3 crore support to the Indian armed forces, and I am grateful to him for his service to the nation. Through revolution in the co-operative sector, he has ensured social, economic development, especially among the women of the rural areas," he said.
