Patients seek access over railway tracks to Samayanallur PHC

RESIDENTS of Paravai Town Panchayat have urged authorities to construct either a subway or over bridge near the railway gate en route to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Samayanallur, saying the level crossing remains closed for a long time.
The PHC, which is located 2 km away from Samayanallur, has all facilities such as maternal care centre, siddha care centre, immunisation centre, etc.
Since several trains pass frequently, the railway gate is closed for more than 20 minutes every hour, causing inconvenience to patients, especially pregnant women.
