In 7 months, GRH generates 45 tonnes of biomedical waste

THE Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH), Madurai, generated a total of 45.36 tonnes of biomedical waste in the past seven months (January-July 2025).
According to official records, the hospital generated 7.01 tonnes of waste in January, 6.05 tonnes in February, 7.196 tonnes in March, 6.40 tonnes in April, 6.21 tonnes in May, 5.96 tonnes in June and 6.49 tonnes in July.
