ICICI Bank Q1 net profit jumps 15.5% to ₹12,768 cr

SECOND largest private sector lender ICICI Bank has reported a 15.5% growth in its net profit to ₹12,768.21 crore in the June quarter thanks to better asset quality that brought down its provisions for bad loans.
On a consolidated basis, the bank reported a net profit of ₹13,558 crore, up 15.9% from a consolidated income of ₹74,576 crore. Insurance subsidiaries ICICI Prudential Life and ICICI Lombard General contributed positively to the overall performance, with the group's total capital employed rising to over ₹3.29 lakh crore.
