Chaos Returns to MCH Old Casualty as Fire Prompts Shift From New Wing

The old casualty block of the Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital has become a site of congestion and distress once again, following the temporary relocation of the casualty wing from the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) Super Speciality Block (SSB), which recently experienced a fire incident.

Due to the blaze that disrupted operations in the modern casualty wing last week, hospital authorities were compelled to move all emergency services back to the old block. This facility had been previously decommissioned for regular use due to its outdated infrastructure and limited space.
