Walmart-backed fintech co PhonePe begins process of listing on exchanges

FINTECH major PhonePe on Thursday said it has started preparations for a public listing on the Indian stock market.
The Walmart-backed company said this marks a significant milestone as the fintech firm will celebrate its 10-year anniversary this year. The company has grown to serve hundreds of millions of customers with innovative financial services and technology solutions, PhonePe said.
The company, which has been aspiring to be a public company, in December 2022, redomiciled from Singapore to India, and subsequently, established a corporate structure with each of its new non-payment businesses as fully owned subsidiaries.
