FROM 2019-20 to 2024-25, over 7.49 lakh job cards under MGN-REGA were deleted, and nearly 22.68 lakh workers removed from job cards in Gujarat, raising serious questions on transparency, and eligibility in the state, the Lok Sabha was informed on Tuesday.
The disclosure has opened a sharp debate on transparency and accountability in the state’s implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA), according to officials.
