IAF chief cautions against hasty structural changes

|August 27, 2025
IN a significant statement on the ongoing exercise to reorganise the war-fighting machinery into theatres, the Chief of Air Staff (CAS) has cautioned against making hasty changes to the existing structures.
The Indian Air Force has been reiterating that it is not opposed to the tri-services theaterisation plan, but Air Chief Marshal AP Singh on Tuesday stressed the need to retain the core competence of each service, and the decision to restructure should not be taken hastily.
He was speaking at a fireside chat at the Ran Samvad tri-services dialogue on war, warfare, and warfighting, RAN SAMWAD-2025, held at the Army War College in Dr Ambedkar Nagar, Madhya Pradesh.
