CBI's Operation Chakra: 4 digital arrest kingpins held after raids in 12 locations

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Tuesday said that it has arrested four kingpins in 'digital arrests' case, leading to defrauding of money to the tune of ₹7.67 crores.
The action was initiated as part of the CBI's Operation Chakra-V and the four accused include two each from Mumbai and Moradabad, officials said.
The case, originally registered at the Cyber Police Station in Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, was taken over by the CBI at the request of the Rajasthan government. Officials said the victim was digitally detained by cyber fraudsters impersonating personnel from various enforcement agencies.
