Serial accused from Bihar to be probed for Maha test leak

A team from Maharashtra Police, investigating the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) paper leak case, has met Bihar’s top police officials and sought their cooperation as the alleged mastermind behind the operation is suspected to be a native of the state.
Officials said that Bijendra Gupta, a resident of Samastipur district in north Bihar, is believed to be the mastermind behind the scam. He has earlier been accused of leaking exam papers in Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar for nearly 25 years. The Maharashtra police team met senior police officers and the Bihar Special Task Force (STF) to nab the suspected mastermind. So far, the Maharashtra Police have arrested three people in this connection and recovered four sets of question papers during a trap operation in the Kongaon area of Thane district.
