The Irrigation Department mulls constructing a regulator-cum-bridge near the dam; preliminary assessment report submitted

The long-standing demand for renovation of the deteriorating Pathirikal dam, located in Sooranad North, is gaining traction. To address the issue, the Irrigation Department plans to construct a regulator-cum-bridge near the dam, built across the Pallikal River.

As part of this initiative, the Major Irrigation Department has conducted a preliminary assessment, with an estimate for a feasibility study. The report will be forwarded to the Irrigation Design Department, and once administrative approval is secured, the tender process will commence.
