Commuters in distress due to Alappuzha railway station renovation work delay

The delay of the renovation work of Alappuzha railway station under the Amrit Bharat project is creating hardship for commuters.
The renovation work, which had begun over six months ago, is moving at a snail's pace. A sum of ₹6 crore had been sanctioned for the development of platforms, booking office, foot overbridges, and other facilities. However, the contractors and authorities have maintained a lukewarm attitude, delaying the work.
