TN Verdict Can Cover Us Too: Kerala

AFTER the Supreme Court on Tuesday declared "illegal and arbitrary" the Tamil Nadu Governor's action of sitting on 10 bills re-sent to him by the state Assembly, the Kerala government requested the CJI-led bench to list its similar writ petition, pending before it, before the bench headed by Justice J B Pardiwala.
When the matter came up for hearing before a two-judge bench led by the CJI and also comprising Justice Sanjay Kumar, former AG and senior lawyer K K Venugopal, appearing for Kerala, pleaded for listing this matter because "for the last three years bills have been pending."
