NCB busts darknet-based drug racket, arrests kingpin from Muvattupuzha

IN ONE of the largest such drug hauls in the country, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has busted a darknet-facilitated drug trafficking racket with international links.
Two persons, including a Muvattupuzha native who is allegedly the kingpin of the racket, have been taken into custody.
The NCB operation—codenamed 'Operation MELON' and led by the Cochin Zonal Unit—resulted in the seizure of 1,127 LSD blots, 131.66 g of ketamine valued at around ₹35 lakh, and cryptocurrency assets worth ₹70 lakh.
