The state has reported yet another death from amoebic meningoencephalitis, taking the total number of confirmed fatalities from the rare but deadly infection to six within a month.
The latest victim, Shaji, 47, a native of Chelambra in Malappuram, was undergoing treatment at Kozhikode Government Medical College Hospital. He had been in the intensive care unit for the past three weeks before his death was confirmed on Wedne
