KK will get ₹2,000 cr to improve quality of education: Chairman

THE Chairman of the Kalyana Karnataka Regional Development Board (KKRDB) Ajay Singh said that the Kalyan Karnataka region will get Rs 2,000 crore for improving the quality of education.

"The state government has given a grant of Rs 3,000 crore to KKRDB in 2023-24 and Rs 5,000 crore in 2024-25. With the decision to allocate 25 per cent of this for education, Rs 2,000 crore will be available for educational activities," said Singh.

Speaking to reporters in Raichur on Saturday, he said, "The KKRDB has released Rs 440 crore out of Rs 857 crore under the Arogya Avishkara scheme. The priority has been given to the construction of Mother and Child Hospitals (MCH hospitals) along with the process of upgrading primary health centres including primary health centres, urban health centres."
