No signs of easing as Israel launches barrage of air strikes on Tehran after Iran's early Monday strikes on Tel Aviv; Turkey seeks to mediate

EVEN as Israel escalated its attack at Iran on Monday by firing targeted missiles at Tehran following a new wave of missile attacks by Iran on Israel early that day as the conflict between the regional foes entered the fourth day and showed no signs of easing, the head of the UN nuclear watchdog agency said there is a possibility of both radiological and chemical contamination within Iran's main nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz following the Israeli strikes.

Iran's state-run news agency said that its state-run television abruptly stopped a live broadcast after an Israeli strike. During the broadcast, an Iranian state television reporter said the studio was filling with dust after "the sound of aggression against the homeland."

Suddenly, an explosion occurred, cutting the screen behind her as she hurried off camera. The broadcast quickly switched to prerecorded programs.

An hour earlier, Israel had issued a warning to evacuate the area in Iran's capital where the TV studios are located.
