DKS: KMF Will Open Outlets in 8 Metro Stations

As the Karnataka government is facing flak from the opposition BJP-JDS leaders over Amul opening its outlets at the Bengaluru Metro stations, Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar said that they have informed the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) to allow Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) to open its outlets in eight stations.

"BMRCL had called for a global tender and Amul was the lone applicant. We have instructed KMF to submit its application to BMRCL. KMF will open Nandini outlets in eight metro stations," the DyCM told reporters in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Amul has already opened its outlets in two metro stations and it is not appropriate to close down the existing outlets, the DyCM said. S
