RETIRED Chief Justices of India, former judges, and Attorney Generals (AGs) termed the cash recovery incident in Justice Yashwant Varma's residential premises a "huge dent in the heart of the judicial dispensation system." They called for waiting for the three-member committee to complete the detailed probe.

- Suchitra Kalyan Mohanty @ New Delhi

Former CJIKG Balakrishnan, talking exclusively to TNIE, said, "The probe panel must find out the truth and come to a logical conclusion about where the money came from. How did it land at Justice Varma's official residence? The panel can use the CCTV cameras installed there." Former CJI Tirath Singh Thakur said, "The news takes me aback. The judiciary is dealing with the issue and has formed a panel to inquire about it. Let us wait for its outcome (probe panel)." He cautioned the media not to anticipate conclusions and await the probe report.
