DC to Submit Proposals for Construction of New Bridges

Following continuous heavy rainfall in the district, the Lolasur Bridge in Gokak city, which is a vital link to other adjoining areas, was completely submerged. On Wednesday, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Roshan visited the flood-affected areas to assess the situation.
Addressing media during his visit on Wednesday, the DC Roshan said that a survey is being conducted on all submerged bridges across various taluks in the district. A proposal for constructing new bridges will be submitted to the government soon. He added that instructions have already been issued to evacuate people living in flood-prone riverside villages.
