Complaint filed against MLA for threatening RC

A formal complaint has been lodged against Belagavi south MLA Abhay Patil, accusing him of threatening and intimidating a senior IAS officer.

The complaint, from social activist Sujit Mulagund, addressed to the Chairman of the Privileges Committee of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, alleged misconduct and breach of privilege following the disqualification of two corporators by the Regional Commissioner of Belagavi revenue division.

According to Mulagund, the Regional Commissioner, acting in his quasi-judicial capacity, disqualified two corporators of Belagavi City Corporation (BCC) after a thorough hearing based on official reports.
