Watco to Soon Ready DPR for ₹208 Crore Treatment Plant at Gangua-Daya Conflux

The state government has asked the Water Corporation of Odisha (Watco) to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for establishment of a sewerage treatment plant at the confluence point of Gangua nullah and Daya river to prevent release of polluted water to the river system.

Sources in the Housing and Urban Development department said keeping in view the rising pollution in Gangua nullah, a decision had been taken two years back for establishment of a treatment plant at the confluence. However, the project has remained stalled owing to delay in preparation of the DPR.
