The quarterly KDP meeting held at the Zilla Panchayat auditorium in Chikkamagaluru on Saturday saw noisy scenes between Congress and BJP leaders.
The meeting was chaired by District Minister K J George. The meeting witnessed a stormy beginning as MLC C T Ravi and MLA H D Thammaiah got into an argument over the gap of duration in calling the meeting.
The District Minister pacified both of them, saying that the delay was due to budget session and other reasons but it won't happen in the future. Deputy Speaker M K Pranesh urged officials to skip formalities to address the growing elephant menace in the district, which is a serious issue.
