Rs 1,512.67 Crore HDMC Budget Offers 5 Recipes for Twin Cities

WHILE presenting a surplus budget of around Rs 19 crore, the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC) has announced five recipes for the comprehensive development of Hubballi-Dharwad in the coming years.
The corporation's total budget for the year 2025-26 is estimated at Rs 1,512.67 crore, which is 20.92 crore more than the Rs 1,491.75 crore of the current fiscal year.
As per five recipes suggested in the budget, the corporation is to triple the generation of revenue from its internal resources and property tax by conducting a GIS survey of properties, installing LED lights across the twin cities under the PPP model, reaching cent per cent in collection of waste at doorsteps and processing it after proper bifurcation into dry and wet, winding up of implementation of 24x7 drinking water supply by the end of this year, and providing all necessary basic infrastructure.
