Old Plan Dropped, New Cost of DC Office is ₹55 Crore

The office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) will be constructed at the existing location only, without causing any harm to the existing heritage buildings, at an estimated cost of Rs 55 crore, which are sanctioned by PWD, district-in-charge minister Satish Jarkiholi.

Multiple plans were made including site inspections for the new state-of-art building for the district head quarters of DC office from the past two years. Moreover, a 3D plan of the five floor building to be constructed at the cost of Rs 200 crore was also made.

The new state-of-the-art building of the Deputy commissioner's will now be constructed by removing the old red-tile-roof building behind the existing DC office, where the Sub-registrar office, record room and District CEN police station are functional.
