The Jammu and Kashmir Police's State Investigation Agency (SIA) has reopened the 36-year-old case of the killing of 27-year-old Kashmiri Pandit nurse Sarla Bhatt by terrorists.
On Monday, the SIA carried out searches at eight locations in Srinagar, including the residence of detained Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Mohammad Yasin Malik in Maisuma in uptown Srinagar. Incidentally, Malik is serving a life term after a Delhi court found him guilty of offences under the UAPA and IPC on May 14, 2022.
