128 Child Labourers Rescued in Ballari

Rescue ops, spanning 10 months, were mainly conducted in Sandur taluk's mining firms

In a major crackdown on child labour, 128 children have been rescued by the district administration in Ballari over the past 10 months. The majority of these rescue operations were conducted in Sandur taluk, particularly in mining-related industries.

As part of ongoing efforts, the district administration—under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Prashanth Kumar Mishra and in coordination with the Labour Department and other government bodies—has conducted multiple surprise raids across the district. These operations are part of a nationwide rescue and rehabilitation campaign against child labour.
