₹482 cr drug haul in 2 yrs: Gujarat ATS busts racket, nabs 6 foreigners

The Gujarat government revealed in the Assembly on Monday that the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has seized a staggering ₹482 crore worth of narcotics from the state's waters in the past two years.
As of December 31, 2024, 60.3 kg of methamphetamine valued at ₹422.12 crore, 173 kg of charas worth ₹60.55 crore and 460 gm of heroin pegged at ₹2.3 crore had been seized. As part of the crackdown, six foreign nationals have been held in connection for allegedly smuggling drugs.
The home ministry made the revelation while addressing a query by BJP's Jamnagar North MLA Rivaba Jadeja in the state Assembly.
