A former government shikshakarmi (contractual teacher), Jeevam Tulavi (46), and his wife Aarti Korram (39), associated with the banned CPI (Maoist) since 2000, surrendered before cops in Mohla-Manpur district, about 120 km west of Raipur.
Tulavi, during his long association with the outfit, rose to the level of a divisional committee member, becoming a trained cadre of Peoples' Liberation Guerrilla Army squad, and propagated the ideology of the banned outfit through 'Mobile Political School,' the police said.
