Land rows, clearance delays stall Punjab road projects

VARIOUS road projects in Punjab, including National Highway projects and those under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-III (PMGSY-III), are unlikely to be completed in the near future due to multiple delays.
Sixteen National Highway projects worth ₹12,700 crore, executed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the state PWD, have been stalled, delayed, or face termination due to land acquisition problems and delays in statutory clearances.
